Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara are spectacular and understandably popular destinations. On this spectacular trip, we visit ALL of these National Parks. Unlike most trips to these areas, however, this trip includes a cultural visit where you can find out about the way of life of the Maasai., an African tribe that resides in the Ngorongoro highland.
On this trip, you will spend two days exploring the fantastic Ngorongoro Conservation area. This will include descents into the crater and two half day game tours. During these drives, you are likely to see rhinos, elephants, lions and an array of other African wildlife.
You will then travel to the Lake Manyara National park and continue your wildlife viewing. You will spend the day exploring the area and enjoying many species of birds as well as hopefully seeing the unusual climbing lion, native to this area.
To finish off the trip, we will visit Tarangire National park for two days. You will once again go on several gaming trips where you will likely see elephants, many kinds of birds, and other animals taking refuge from the intense sun under the majestic baobab trees.

Abbreviated Itinerary
Day 1 - Transfer from airport to your hotel in Arusha
Day 2 - Drive to Ngorongoro and embark on a half day game drive.
Day 3 - Another half day game drive followed by more wildlife viewing in the afternoon.
Day 4 - Drive to Lake Manyara and take an afternoon game drive. See diverse birdlife, especially flamingos.
Day 5 - Drive to Tarangire National Park. Go on another spectacular game drive.
Day 6 - Embark early on a full day game drive and hopefully see the rare fringe-eared Oryx.

Day 1
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport you will be met by a car and transferred to a Hotel near by Arusha town for overnight.
DAY 2: Arusha – Ngorongoro Distance: 190 km (4hr)
After breakfast, we drive to the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area. On the way you will see the small villages of Mto wambu, the Great Rift Valley and Karatu. Throughout the trip, there will be unique views of the high altitude rain forest surrounding the crater rim. Descend down the crater with picnic lunch for a half-day game drive. In the evening enjoy dinner and overnight at the Hotel on the crater rim.
DAY 3: Ngorongoro
Enjoy breakfast on the crater floor and depart for a half-day of game viewing of many spectacular African species. You will hopefully see rhinos, elephants and lions coexisting with a large variety of antelopes and many other animals. We will have lunch once again on the Crater floor. After lunch we continue game viewing and in the early evening drive back to the Hotel on the crater rim for leisure, dinner and overnight.
DAY 4: Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara Distance: 60 km (2hr)
Drive to Lake Manyara National Park, then afternoon game drives around Lake Manyara. This park is famed for the bird life around the soda lake – flamingos in particular. It is home to unusual tree climbing lions and also known as “home of primates.” It also has a large elephant population. Enjoy dinner and overnight at the Hotel or Tented Lodge on the Great Rift Valley Escarpment.
DAY 5: Lake Manyara to Tarangire. Distance: 95 km (1:30 min)
In the morning drive to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy lunch and then a late afternoon game drive in the park. You will find early morning and late afternoon are the best times to observe birds and animals. During the heat of the day much of the wildlife rest under cover. You should look under trees and bushes for the pricking ears of animals raising their heads. Also watch in the trees for the dangling tail of a leopard as it lies on a branch. One of the most striking features of this park are the majestic, old baobab trees. With their massive silvery trunks, spindly branches and gourd-like fruits, they are strange and impressive trees. Tarangire is also the home of a large number of elephants and bird-life. Enjoy dinner and overnight at the Hotel or Tented Lodge.
DAY 6: Tarangire Day Two:
Full day game drive in Tarangire where it is possible to see the rare fringe-eared Oryx. Enjoy lunch either on the safari or back at camp. Later we will have dinner and overnight at the Hotel or Tented Lodge.
DAY 7: Tarangire - Arusha. Distance 120 km (3 hour)
After breakfast, drive out with game viewing on our return to Arusha. Arrive for lunch where a day room is prepared for you before your flight back home. (Transport to the airport is provided).
