Frequently Asked Questions

How cold will it get on my trek?

Because of the high altitude, the temperature can vary and get very cool, especially during the Andean winter (May - September) when the temperature can drop to below zero degrees (Celsius) at night. There is still potential for it to be very cool at other times of the year, so it is recommended that you prepare by bringing thermal underwear, a windproof and insulated jacket as well as a warm sleeping bag. You will be able to purchase warm, inexpensive and locally made hand-woven mitts and gloves in Cusco.
