It is a short distance on a paved road from Cochabamba. The valley has many adjacent rivers where you have beautiful natural pools and unbelievable exposure to nature.
Incallajta, Inca ruins bigger than Macchu Picchu in size, are at two hours from Cochabamba and are one of the sites that shoudnｴt be missed. The Palace of Portales was the home of the tin baron, Simón I. Patiño. He owned nearly all of the tin mines of Bolivia at the beginning of the century and his home is now a luxurious museum open to the public.
