For most visitors, Baltra is their entry point into the Galapagos. Home to main airport, this island sits just 27 km off the northern coast of Santa Cruz Island and has no real tourist attractions. There is also a military base for Ecuador on Baltra. You will find animals such as land iguanas, marine iguanas and marine turtles on Baltra Island.
